Hi,

I stuck in the quest about Kayran for hours and did not find any solution. I have the mongoose elixir, when I talk to Sheila she said I have to talk to the merchant but I talked with them before and there are no dialog sequences there. So here there is a dialog glitch.
On the other hand when I walk to the place where Kayran should appear there is only the death guy and his sheep whatever if I drink the elixir before stepping into in the the Area or not drinking it before.

Whats next?
I tried to contact the support but there are no submit dialog to send any problems.

Environment: Ubuntu 15.04
Patch installed: gog_the_witcher_2_assassins_of_kings_patch_1.1.0.5.tar.gz

Go to your quest journal and mark the "Kayran: A matter of price" quest as active. Then go to the harbour and speak to the correct merchant (because there are 2 or 3 of them if I'm not mistaken). See if that helps.

Sadly this did not helped, I tried all people around during all four time periods with activated quest. Additionally I downloaded Witcher 2 fresh to get the latest release

To solve this I have to go back to the beginning of act 1 (4 days of playing ...) before I enter the town. When you enter the town and speak with one of the merchant where you came into the glitch which will screw you up later. In my case I lost many hours of playing and have to start again :-(

Good news: I beat Kayran
Bad news: I lost many hours of playing and the random crashes under Linux did not disappear and I have to save every 20 minute to avoid the crashes.

Conclusion: Nice game but very very poorly ported to Linux as many other people complain in other boards
