Kleetus: This thread should be made a sticky just for the entertainment value alone.

Are you not entertained?

I'd vote to lock this thread and every other one like it so as not to encourage others to spam the forum and take advantage of the good will of others.
Trailer Trash,How much you like to rant and how few listen....

Oh, how you wish for someone to listen but your brain is just too small and your ego too large.

The combination is just too much and the few neurons you have are simply over-stimulated to their max.

It's really not your fault.

What is needed rather than condemnation is pity.

It's really very sad.

Poor little whipping-boy always needing his daddy's approval....Yes,Daddy, Of course,Daddy,What now,Daddy?

I don't say too much but at least I'm obediant and well trained.

Someday Mommy and Daddy will nudge you out of the nest and poor little whipping boy will be on his own.

What will you do then?

Thank goodness society set up resources for mentally challenged people.

Question about Geralt character

Hi

I have a question concerning Geralt whilst he is engaged in a battle scenario.

I cannot discern if this affliction is supposed to be happening (perhaps poison or paralysis or sickness) or whether this is a glitch.

I already utilised updates and patches.

Something bad is happening in this game,Witcher 2.

My character has been very strange in two separate battle scenarios.

These occurred with different monsters (of different types)

In two battle scenarios, Geralt simply refuses to swing his sword or attack with the sword.

He simply stands there with the sword outstretched. He refuses to swing the sword or hit with the sword (silver or the other sword in the other slot).

So,subsequently the monster can beat him to death and Geralt does nothing bur stand there and let them kill him.

Now,Geralt is not frozen during this time.

He can run away and he can also utilise the signs during battle (Yrden, etc.)

There is nothing on the screen at the time indicating sickness or paralysis.

Please help me to fix whatever is causing this

aidamei: Question about Geralt character
Question about you character: after someone is standing up for you against the troll-sayers, you prove him wrong by stooping even below their level (repeatedly). Sorry, that's not how it works.

Your problem is a well known bug, there are multiple threads about it. All you can do is run and roll and do other things until you can swing your sword again. Or reload your save.

And since you are asking lots of questions and get lots of answers, you should do the polite thing and mark the answer, which was the solution to your first question, as solution, That's how this question thing works, thank you for your kind attention.

So,should I assume that there are no updates or patches currently to fix this?

I bought my copy from gamers gate
I installed all patches and updates

Can you please clarify this?

I don't understand what you mean by "mark the answer"

Yes, this is not fixed in any patch, including the latest (1.3). You will occasionally get in a situation where your controls will go on strike. I have found the big melee scenes with lots of actors on screen (like the battle on the wall at Vergen) to be most prone to this.

Perhaps he is waiting for someone to swing it for him.

Why,it's lowlife bottom-feeder !

Never thought to see you again!

I'm sure you must have been quite busy wading through all your poop.

After all, you do it better than anyone else-except perhaps for your pathetic wife who has to trail behind you with the pooper-scooper.
Keep up the good work,Stinky

Maybe you'll get a raise someday

Did it, check your email.

No more help until everyone starts getting along, because the tone of this thread is really sad to me. I don't care who started it or who said what, we should be communicate with each other like adults without the constant attacks on each other.
If you want to try again, or for future reference, the narrow spaces between columns, the Yrden sign, and Dancing Star bombs are your friends down there. Combat in TW2 is not hack-and-slash, it is tactical, and you must learn to take advantage of all your gear and the battlefield itself.

Get through the mob of harpies and through one of the narrow spaces, casting a Yrden as you go through. The lead harpy will get stuck, and the others will pile up behind her. Throw a bomb into the crowd, retreat to the next obstacle, repeat.

Posters who call each other names need to shut up. You're lowering yourselves to the level of the ploughing harpies.

Aren't you ashamed of yourself?
Can't figure out how to click on a button (or even say THANK YOU, when you are being helped), but finds all the keys to be a really disgusting ass. I'm not convinced you have the physical or mental maturity to play this game, so go and help yourself. Grow up, learn how to speak and write and how to be a human.

This forum lacks a "report" button.

It does lack a "Report" button. Makes me wonder if it isn't lacking Moderators as well. As a Moderator on another forum, I was thinking that the original request was legitimate, but over time the thread got derailed. Now I am thinking that perhaps aidamei is toying with folks. No one can be that naive. or this is abosolutely the very First RPG he, or she has played. I agree that this thread should probably be locked, as it is on the verge of getting real nasty imo.
As for the "Older" player thing, I am an older player and somethings are a little more difficult for those up here in this age bracket, but not game breaking by a longshot. WE tend to have a little more patience and can get through it. Case in point was the Kayran. Heck I went down there some three tiimes to just check him out and not try to take him on. Once I had him scouted out, I messed around for a bit with other things and then went for it. I did die the first time with three tenticles cut as I wasn't sure of what to do. The next time though, I got him. I had found a safe spot in which I could recover my Vitality although the clock ran out on my potions. Wasn't a bid deal though. I don't know what if anything this player has played in the past, but obviously not anything at this level. Maybe Zelda or some such thing.
