It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

Firek: We're still unable to recreate this problem on our end... Could you check if the problem persists when you have all virtual drives (if you're using DaemonTools etc) unmounted, and:
a) with any CD/DVD disc in your drive,
b) without anything in your CD/DVD drive?
I have no virtual drives and the problem was occuring without any disks in the drive however, I never got to trying it with a disk in the drive, as I haven't had time to play the game for over 2 weeks. I tried it again today and the problem was no longer there I rebooted and tried to starting it several times and never received any disk request. I suppose that I could have made some change or downloaded an update that resolved the problem without my knowing it but, I don't recall doing either over the past couple of weeks.
Sorry I cannot be of more assistance. I will report back if the problem returns.
Thank you
Don

Just remembered, I did reboot my wirless router today because it kept cutting out, someone mentioned that their W2 would not start unless they were connected to the internet, is it possible that there might be a connection between the disk request and having an internet connection? I realise that seems unlikely but just a thought.

Same problem here.

I never used Deamon Tools or something similiar and Witcher 2 run fine until patch v2.0. Now I have to click twice on "cancel" and then game finaly starts.
I have Daemon Tools installed, and the issue described in this thread. Disabling all the virtual drives in Daemon Tools fixes the issue for me.
