So I installed the new patch 1.1 for my gog version of the game (yes i got this patch from gog website).

After playing for 10 minutes I once again have the same problems....

My Rig:

q6600 2.4ghz oc'ed @ 2.8ghz (temps 42c idle, 62c heavy gaming)
6gb ddr2 ram
1 TB HDD 7200rpm
Geforce gtx 560ti oc

I run the game at 1920x1080 on ultra with ubersampling off

The game runs between 45-55 fps, but after a couple of minutes of playing the cutscenes start to mess up. The audio cracks and slows down and the framerate also starts reduce into the 10s.

When I exit the game and restart it the same cutscenes play out perfectly. After 10 or so minutes the cutscenes start to give me problems again. Outside of cutscenes the gameplay is still a solid 45-55fps. Only the cutscenes are effected by this.

PLEASE HELP!
Have you tried disabling DOF for cutscenes and cinematics? You should be able to run with it on, but try it off and see if that fixes it

Will report if i have the same problem when i encounter another cutscene, only played 5 mins witht he new patch, and what i saw looked good.
maybe I should but if it was really the issue, why do cutscenes work perfectly in the beginning.

I play the game for 10-20 minutes and then those same cutscenes that use to play perfectly at around 50fps drop to the 10-12fps.

If it was really do to depth of field then the cutscenes should always give me problems.

I've tested this thoroughly
What OS? Are you using the latest BETA-Driver from NVIDIA (275.27)? Have you tried without OC?

do you have any problems with other games?
My first though is something in your system is overheating

Edit: I saw you listed your temperature, missed that

Yes i've run the game at stock 2.4ghz quad core still the same problems

I'm using the nvidia beta drivers 275.27 and 3d vision isn't installed

Running windows 7 ultimate 64
This does not happen with any other games

I've played mafia 2 with physics on high last night for 2 hours.

This problem occured pre-patcha and i was hoping that patch 1.1 would fix it

Since Last week i've played crysis 2 multiplayer like every night and not a single problem not even with dragon age 2 with dx11 turned on

Might be the memory leak other people have said they have, if that's the case you're gonna have to wait till they patch it, or they might have fixed it with 1.1, but I haven't seen a full changelog

EDIT: Oh, you have patch 1.1. Clearly something they haven't fixed yet then

@bbtuffy

Thanks for trying

I was pulling my hair out all last week about this

I kinda just decided that it must be a memory leak, but i was soooooo sure that they would fix this problem on patch 1.1

Man I'm so sad

I still have LA Noire I guess....
Try turning off the advanced DOF setting thingy, I don't know what it's called in English, but it's just under the "Motion Blur" switch in the configurator.

If you can find a contact email for them (probably something like support@thewitcher.com, it'd definitely be worth alerting them to the issue. In the mean time, solving crime sounds like fun, and the bits I've watched a friend play look like great fun =)
SOLVED:

Guess what?

The game has an issue with multiple displays. I had my tv connected to my computer, but it was disabled. Only one screen was working. I thought that this alone would not cause an issue since i've never had a game have problem when having a 2nd monitor connected though disabled.

Well after physically disconnected the 2nd display the game no longer gave me any issues

I run the game at 1920x1080 @ 45-55fps on Ultra with ubersampling off

Everything is working just fine now
Good. Glad to here it. Your a pretty smart cookie.
