GameInformer review is up 9.25/10
" Screamingly frustrating at times, this is nonetheless one of the most engrossing, creative role-playing games I've had the pleasure of playing"

I've added most american/british reviews of the game on the wikipedia-page.
It looks like TW2 could be up for GOTY-award of some sort ;)
Eurogamer - 9/10

PCGamers review of DA2 was obviously bought, it was one of the few allowed pre-release and the language used was exactly the same as the language EA marketing twonks use. The review at the Escapist was even worse, it was obvious the reviewer had not even played the game.

I think 89% is fair, the game is great but there are issues that really need addressing.
updated with new reviews !

Eurogamer 9/10 Whoooaaa
DA2 was like a 2/5 for me

Gvaz: DA2 was like a 2/5 for me
After playing witcher most 3d RPGs looks like projected by mediacore artists.

I mean art not graphic.

Skystrider: PC Gamer got their review of The Witcher 2 here

"Last minute collapse onto its own silver sword aside, this is one of the most impressive RPGs you'll ever play"

89% - just barely shy of the Editor's Choice award.

I don't know if this is the same review that is mentioned at the start of this thread. If it is; oops, sorry!

cmfreak: This score is abit low for me, I mean they gave Dragon Age 2 a 94!
No, Bioware with EAs bankroll gave Dragon Age 2 a 94%.

There is a huge difference!

Seriously, when it comes to these mainstrean huge sites, dont take their word on Blizzard, Bioware (EA), SOE releases. Those guys all pay for their reveiws.

The smaller companies like cDRed that cant afford to be strongarmed get usually solid reveiws (and I think 89% is very reasonable) and it also gives these mainstream sites some credibility that they lose when doing the big corp game reveiws!

Its like I try to point out to people.
Mass Effect 2
Prior to release, every site that got free copies and swag and advertising dollars from EA gave Mass Effect 2 9 out of 10 or higher.
Yet when you unbiasly played the game you realized how much of the game faults they choose not to reveiw and speak of
Then once game released all the sites (including some well known ones like the NYTimes and others) that had to buy their own copies and had no reliance on EA gave ME2 reveiws ranging from 2 out of 10 to 6.5 out of 10. None of them gave it a 9, 9.5, or 10 as the main stream reveiwers had prior to release!

Understand who is doing the reveiw and what agenda they are pushing regarding titles. None of the mainstream guys going to bash a Blizzard, EA, SOE product because those companies make up a good portion of the free swag these sites get and those companies pay a premium price for advertising!

You want accurate reveiws of Bioware games? Go find some lesser sites that dont get free stuff and advertising dollars and do the reveiw because they generally want to out of passion for the genre (but make sure you do homework as well cause many of these reveiwers are fanbois extrodinares)!.
updated !

Jim Sterling is being crucified by comments under his review ;)

From a friend at BSN about Destructoid's 6/10 review of DA2: (the quote is from the review)
"You'll soon learn that player speculation is a big part of The Witcher 2, in both combat and quests. Much of the game is more a case of, "Try to guess what the developers were thinking," than anything involving skill or intelligence. CD Projekt seems to love telling players to do something, but not how to do it."
The absence of the Almighty Holding Hand can be quite terrifying for the first time it seems. I wonder how much time did it take for him to figure out the Act III rune puzzles, because buying books and reading ingame lore is blasphemious. smilie

The instant gratification crowd has infiltrated the videogame journalism industry."
