Just bought Witcher 2 for the PC

It loads OK, and I've uploaded Patch 2.1
No Steam.

When I launch it, the "Advert" screens come up, complete with sound, last screen showing Cd Prodjekt.
Then the screen goes dark and sound stops. That's the end of my game!!!

No keys work and there is no cursor.

TASK manager says Witcher 2 has stopped running

I've been running Skyrim etc eith no problems

Help!!!!!!
