Export: Geralt is not an aeroplane. I know this is an incredibly unhelpful response, but why do people use inverted controls in non-flight sims anyway? It's just a bad habit to get into that can backfire, as in this case.
JSLfromBx: A Plane.really? wow, good job showing to everyone just how clueless you are. Last time i checked Geralt was (mostly) human and like all human if you pull his head backward his sight goes up and if you push his head forward his sight goes down. That IS the natural behavior and it should be how the mouse work. It's the current default setting that should be called the inverted it fell so fake it's almost sickening.
Er... I said he
isn't a plane - the only thing that controls with an inverted Y axis like that is a plane. Good job showing everyone just how clueless you are.
As for the rest of your point, that's one interpretation that I'd say is a slightly odd yet interesting one. You see the controls as "pushing" the avatar around and in that case, pushing forward to push his head down so he looks down does indeed make sense. However, I'd say that's an unusual way of interpreting it. Most people don't consider the controls to be "pushing" their avatar around like a rag doll, they see it that they
are the avatar and that moving the mouse up will look up just as moving the mouse up would move the mouse cursor up towards the top of the screen.
If you moved the mouse up now and the cursor went down, it would seem incredibly strange, right? Essentially, with mouse controls, it makes sense that the avatar looks where the cursor is and you move the cursor in the game how you would move the cursor in Windows or whatever OS you use.
