The downloader says TW 2 is updated, how do you apply the update?

Unless I'm mistaken, the latest update is the RED-Kit, a modding tool. So unless you haven't updated in a looong time (check your ingame version against the latest patches on the official TW2 page) or you feel the urge to mod, you can pass this one.

Patch 3.4 enables the use of REDKit-developed mods. That's all it does. At this time, there's one mod, Benzenzimmern's "Lykaon". See http://www.moddb.com/mods/lykaon/features/redkit-closed-beta-winner-interview
If you are ambitious and want to make your own mods, you can also install REDKit. This will not be patched automatically for you; if you want it, you must download it from GOG or CDProjekt and install it. It's about 6.3GB.
