I'm on my first playthrough, right now on Ioveth's path in Act II and I'm having problem farming (or even locating) the large group on Nekkers near the catacombs entrance.

What happened was that the first time I saw the Nekkers, I was up on the plateau above them (the one with the burned down house on it). The saw me and started to circle the plateau to get to me. By the time I got down from there, the Nekkers were nowhere to be found.

I saw a guide on farming those Nekkers and wanted to try it (part of the equipment guide of gamefaqs). I followed all of the steps of the guide but still the Nekkers won't spawn.

Please help.

Occasionally, that particular group of nekkers disappears, never to return. Sorry.

Haven't seen anyone offer up an explanation of why, but it's happened to several people. As far as I know, no one has ever managed to bring them back (maybe try loading an earlier save, though) save for starting a new game.

I also wanted to farm these nekkers and ran into the same problem. About 4-5 hours later they randomly respawned...on another play through of mine they NEVER respawned. However, I did find a way to make them respawn over and over again. The first time you encounter and kill them, log out of the game. Load back in and meditate for 12-24 hours. Run back to the nekker area and they should respawn, rinse and repeat to farm them.

The game's despawn script(s) are a bit unreliable. Basically, they despawned because you were too far away, but as you say, they are supposed to spawn again. Try going somewhere farther away (such as by the catacombs entrance), and meditate for 24 hours, then look for them again. That's usually enough time to have any group of enemies respawn, but I can't speak for this particular group, however; if it's bugged or not.

OK, so I went on with some other quests, then got back to that place the the Nekkers did spawn again!!!

However, since then I haven't been ablr to recreate the encounter. Any advise on that?
