Can the ship and the chest be found still while playing through in the Roche route? After I reach the Vergen side, the path that normally leads to the troll is blocked off by rocks. What do I do?

You can find it, just have to wait a bit.

You can't access that until the very end of Chapter 2, but at the end, you WILL be able to.
