Hello everyone,

Being that this is my first post I had a pretty glaring question about the way in which my system handles the game. Here are the specs on the build:

Intel Core i7 2600 3.4GHZ
Corsair Vengeance 8GB DDR3 1600
2TB WD Black Caviar
Asus P8P67 Deluxe MOBo
EVGA GTX 295

I'm wondering why the game would put this game on MEDIUM specification for me to play. I would figure that it would be good enough to warrant a high but I have it figured that maybe the video card is holding my rig back from truly enjoying the game. I only say that because this is a dual gpu card so the idea that it doesn't have a profile may be the cause of the problem. Last time i checked, each GPU on a 295 was a powerful as a single GTX 270. If you guys could please help me to figure out what I should do then it would be greatly appreciated.

(I'm guessing upgrading would be the next step but i just want to be sure)

Really? I haven't found a solution that made this game even remotely playable on my computer ( exceeding the recommended specs).

I'll link you to this thread on NeoGAF that has quite a few tweaks and some pretty solid information thats all about performance in Witcher 2. Some good advise there all in one handy thread!
Actually i play with an outdated Intel 3.2ghz dual core duo, 3 gb ram, ati 5770 1 gb.

The game offers to me as auto setting all on the very minimum, the game with this setting runs smooth but it looks quite crap expecially on textures.

I did some different tries and actually im playing with all settings from low to medium, the game looks great, with minor issues on texture that looks not perfect if near, but im pleased with the framerate and the game overall looks great.

Actually i find strange you got issues on your beast pc, i suggest to do many tries with the game video settings, as some "medium" settings looks great and maybe can improve the playability heavily.

There's no way you need to upgrade.
I've only got a AMD Phenom X4 945 2.8GHZ
ASUS RADEON HD 6850
4GB RAM

And I can run this on ultra and get 60 FPS.

DId you reinstall the graphics drivers without 3D Vision?

I'm going to try that tonight. I haven't really given a though about the 3d vision. Hopefully that takes care of the issue.

Thanks.
