have anyone gotten to the part where u kill the kayren monster? I got to the part where the monster is throwing rocks at me and i don't know what to do from there.

that bitch keeps telling me to use the sign, can't remember it's name, so i plant it where the tentacle hits but nothing happens.

I wrote this earlier to try and help people out.

The best strategy for making sure the tentacle hits the trap is to stand directly on it and dodge out the way when you see the tentacle raising up to strike.

SPOILERS






You have to plant the signs off the the sides - where the tentacles with the bulging red growths can reach them. Those are weakened, and you'll be able to hack through them. If you try to plant the sign directly in front of the monster, where its two "main" tentacles are, it won't work.

Also, if you make the Kayren trap, and plant it during the fight it will lop one of the tentacles off automatically.

As for the original question, you have to run to the left and on top of the bridge that fell, which acts as a ramp.

It took me a few times to get the mechanics down but basically this is the fight.

- The coiled front tentacle will not strike, the other one will, run or roll out of the way.
- Run over to tentacles with globes and place them approx where they'll land and run around in that area until it smacks down, roll away at the last second you should be fine
- it will get stuck and smack the orange thing as fast as you can (fast works fine) with a silver sword
- when it rears back, it's either spitting poison or it's whacking with both front tentacles so stay away from the front. If you get stuck, mash RMB and roll away. it will usually try to crush you with both tentacles.
- you only really need to cut three tentacles before the platform collapses
- if you've laid down Ydren, then put up quen. the shield can sustain a single blow. Keep it up as often as possible
- don't get too close to the sides of the beast, even though they have globules, they'll smack you for major damage and throw you in front of the beast, usually to get hit by tentacles
- if you hear something about "watch out!" or that he's gonna throw rocks around, get near the wall and he wont hit you
- if you need a second to get a breather, you can press the "Pause/Break" button to "pause" the game. Press it again to step forward a second like you would on a movie. press LMB to resume. You can't move around or look around in this mode. (also useful for cutscenes or when you want to take a screenshot)
- When the bridge falls on it, run on it quick and dodge the tentacles and get to the top of the bridge. Geralt throws a bomb (that he apparently pulled from thin air, idk where he got it) into it's maw, destroying it.

Fight over.

I cut off 3 tentacbles, i ran for the way out but it wouldn't let me climb the rock, instead the boss grabbed me and through me into the wall.

That's because you failed the QTE.
If you don't have QTE enabled, there are seeminglt some bugs with it, so enable QTE and press what needs to be pressed after 3rd tentacle.

I believe the opposite is true, the bugs are due to difficult QTEs being on as most keep them on by default, turning them off will allow you to get on top of the tentacle without fail every time since you don't have to do the QTE.

I had difficult QTEs off and all I had to do for the tentacle is you have to spam LMB.

The boss lets go of you and whacks its own tentacle in the bridge, making it fall on itself.

the bridge falls on the monster, it try climb up the biggest part of the bridge but get owned by those 2 tentacles..
just killed the beast, on my way to collect the reward and the game crashed, nice.

I kill it at 3th time, there are some most important things:
1) spam space bar for evade
2) Queen sign is very important here
3) is not important the order that you break entacles
(ifor me: inside left, outside left, inside right, outside right)
a lot of lucky and good reflexes can be help :)
