It seems that you're using an outdated browser. Some things may not work as they should (or don't work at all).
We suggest you upgrade newer and better browser like: Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer or Opera

TheEnigmaticT: It sounds like there's a problem with one of the files in the patcher; the GOG.com version, if you download it from your shelf, does not have this issue.

We've let RED know (and, of course, their forums have already lit up with this), and they're working on a fix as soon as they can get it out to you guys.

Sorry about this.
Thanks for the quick response. Unfortunately, now my and other people's launchers are unusable as even aborting the patch installation seems to have corrupted the base files. I really hope I won't have to do a full reinstall to fix this...
pack0.dzip is 10 gb big. so it could be any of the files that are corrrupted

drachehexe: Horrible horrible horrible quality testing. Downloaded the pre-release EE patch and then getting a corrupt file error when it goes live? Now have to wait the freaking 10 hours it's will take to re-download the whol ething!

GoG, you or CD Project Red owes me something for making me waste my time with this buggy BS after all the hype.

A horrible black mark on such a great track record.
While it's extremely frustrating to have this happen when you thought you were about to start playing, these things still happen. Just because you're delayed a couple of hours doesn't mean they owe you anything.

Seriihn: I just ignored the file and continued. The text in the main menu is invisible but you can still see it if you hover your mouse over it.
I just started the tutorial with this and i can play the game in disco mode now xD
I really dont know how to explain what the game looks like right now but it's awesome with flickering blue and red lights everywhere xD
We want PICS!! :D

Anyway I can find out what my Witcher 2 serial key is so I can activate it on Steam?
Restarting your PC should fix the laucher issue, guys.

Anyways, I've made the mistake of ignoring the installer error, and now the game is full of graphical glitches. Oh well..

Patcher from "My Shelf" from GOG didn't work, either...
Go to http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/ and download part1 part2 overwrite it into pre patch folder. Voila works
Apparently there is one file on one server somewhere on the CDN that is corrupt. As such, this is kind of impossible to track down. RED will post a fix shortly for the corrupt file.

EDIT: Its already fixed. http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/. And I got ninja'ed to boot.

So nobody at GOG.com or CDPR tested this? I mean, how hard was it to download an old GOG Copy and patch it with the EE installer?

I wouldn't be annoyed if this was just a minor glitch that could be fixed with a new installer, but it looks like it's already messed up my install and I really don't fancy downloading a 20gb game again...
Ok, downloading the game fullpiece now... 35 mins in total doanload/ 40 minutes to install...
Gotta love the internet in my country.

What if your launcher is broken and not showing any text? Will it solve that also?
I found a link to the supposedly corrupted TW2EE_Patch-1.bin file if anyone needs to redownload it: http://wpc.4D7D.edgecastcdn.net/004D7D/files/BetaTest/TW2EE_Patch-1.bin
