When I was looking at the in game videos I never noticed this film grain (very noticeable around shadows) but now that I play I can't help but notice it and find it very ugly.
Does anyone know how to remove it please?

. . . that is a cinematic 'special effect' . . . it's built-in, and for your enjoyment. :-)

I don't think this is film grain I think it is the way the shadows are meant to look when set to high/ ultra.
