I keep taking to Sheridan and getting fights, but I just collect orens and the quest has yet to pop up.

Anything special I need to do?

I just talked to the guy in the tavern and got the quest.

Have you completed the fistfight quest in Flotsam? That is probably a prerequisite.

Weird.
You are in the dwarven tavern, right? Cluster of humans standing in the corner, hitting each other...

Must be a bug then. There was nothing special involved for me - did the quest right after arrival, without leaving the tavern once.

Maybe talk to Zoltan first? I didn't have to do that, but I think he has an options in his dialogue to start you on the path to the various mini-games.

My experience as well. Fought a few contenders, then the cut-scene and the quest arrived.

yep, in the tavern with the cluster of humans, talked to the guy and KO'd about six dudes, but still no quest.

It might be related to the end of the Fight Club quest in Flotsam where (I think) I found a pretty huge bug. At the last fight, if I didn't choose to take a dive and I won, I got a line saying "Take your winnings and the guards will show you the gate", then a game over screen. I replayed that part, but chose the dialog option to take a dive (but still won the fight), and I got the same line "Take your winnings...", but no game over. Odd. I think the questline may very well be bugged.

That is also not supposed to happen. If you just tell Loredo to bugger off, he should set some bruisers on you but that is all.

Well, you are not missing out on much, so I would suggest to just get on with the game :)
