sNOOZ: Using the word significant in this context very uninformative, the ambiguity of the word is astounding in that sentence.
That word can hold a plethora of meanings for each individual and telling someone they are "playing the game wrong" is just petulant.
227: "Significantly more," compared to something as constant and familiar to the OP as Witcher 1's combat, is a valid way of describing the wrong way to play. You can certainly try to click-spam your way through combat, but you won't get far. Petulant? Only if frenzied clicking actually works. Clearly it doesn't for the OP.
I would have used the word "more" on its own, but you do need to click a little faster in Witcher 2, hence "significantly." It makes sense given the OP's description of combat as a clickfest, so I'm really not sure why you're splitting hairs, here.
sNOOZ: So for example if there is lag or stutter, then the playstyle of one click one swing is out of the window.
227: I'm sure that's true. That's not the fault of the game though, and responses can't be tailored to the few whose game isn't working properly due to their system. It's natural to assume that someone is playing wrong when they detail dying "ninety billion times" shortly after describing combat as a "clickfest," which is a style of play that would lead to said ninety billion deaths.
Random click fest would lead to an early grave however timed click fest actually do no harm towards your game play. The redundant part about that strategy is that once you learn when to spam clicks you would have already figured out that you don't need numerous clicks to accomplish your goal.
Despite what others say about not requiring numerous clicks to down enemies, compared to W1 enemies are significantly tougher, as in they require more hits to be killed. Thus this ultimately leads to more clicks on the mouse.
I'm not sure if it has to do with the level progression in this game but monsters seem to level with you as you move through the game. So far in my hard run(the level of difficulty below insane, I'm not sure if its called advanced or not but anyways) monsters have never been too easy, at least when I first encounter them. I'm in the chapter where I just rescued Triss from the dengeon and harpy's are becoming easier to kill.
