It is going to get pirated no matter what.
Best thing is to get the word out, wherever you frequent, on how awesome The Witcher is and how the developers should be rewarded for their hard work and support of the PC gaming community by providing a quality game without DRM on their fabulous site, GOG.Com.
A pirate is a pirate. This game along with its delivery method and lack of DRM is the antithesis of all the reasons pirates say they pirate and yet, they will still pirate it.

thanks for the fast answer, im a developer too, and hate when sometimes i see my work on the internet, and that make you feel pain because you know how hard its to make some stuffs.
i know that no matter what some are going to upload it and people gonna download it, but hey, at least let help a little to fight this.

I don't think mailing them about it is good idea, i am pretty sure that they are aware of it. Game was released on warez sites same day you could pre-load it. It works like that and you can't stop it. Noone can.

Lets go to the piratebay and spread some virus warnings.

I've done this before. Great strategy, especially if you can get more then one person to troll with you. Anybody that finds a witcher 2 torrent /w comments, send me the link via PM and i'll troll them.

Pointless waste of energy. I'm sure you have better things to do than dissuade a few in a horde of people. Many will just download and check themselves. A legit version of the game has been out for a long while (before the 10th) and has already been disseminated. Few will balk at downloading the tiny additional game files and crack just to check if its infected.

Not posting any links here, but if you search for the witcher 2 in thepiratebay you'll find the only one download as a first result. Lots of comments there.
