Ebon-Hawk: Yes I understand now... any self respecting company should limit its revenue and only make software for your preferred system, because god forbids they diversify and make more money on other popular gaming systems (like gaming consoles) right? I mean why sell 5mil copies when you can sell only 2mil right? /sarcasm off
In addition, one small look into IT industry and you would know that majority of main stream monitors for sale are now 16:9. Personally I hate it, but that is what is being made at the moment a 1920x1060 also known as HD... a letterbox format. I am a proud owner of 2x 27" 16:10 Samsung monitors (1920x1200) and I will quite possibly hate the day when I will need to switch to 16:9 and loose some of my desktop real estate (or pay over the roof for to keep it)... however, what I will not do is call it a "bug"... What I will call it is mainstream support only (because this is what this thread is about according to OP).
Now here is someone who must be reading my mind.
Im not thrilled either with the mainstream moving to 1080p.
I have a 1920x1200 monitor and my wife has a cheap TN panel 1080p monitor, and im forced to play letterboxed when she gets fullscreen.
So its not like we dont know what you guys are mad about, we do! I dont fault CDP for trying to maximize profits either , it ensures we will see future Witcher titles on pc i hope.
I actually applaud them for supporting us pc gamers as i prefer to game on the pc with KB/mouse over my consoles with controller.
Anyway, we'd ALL like to see native 16:10 support, but you really shouldnt let it frustrate you to the point that it keeps you from enjoying the game.
You may be mad about CDP tailoring their game to release on console later.
But they are one of the few developers left that are even trying to support the pc gaming community and actually released the game on pc first instead of us having to wait for a delayed port.
As far as 4:3 support, no dis-respect but man you're asking for a lot in 2011, you've got to admit that.
Now the AMD x-fire lighting issue is certainly something that needs fixing ASAP since its AMD's job to support its multicard users with working drivers for current games.
