Hi,

I was wondering if the Witcher 2 EE "GOG" version had been modified in order to run under Windows 10 ? I'd like to buy it, my PC runs on Win 10 64 bits. And I've read on several forums that the game encountered many crash problems under Win10. The Steam version is OK for windows XP/7, while the GOG version is given as compatible with windows 8 and 10.

I first wanted to buy the DVD game but I'm afraid of encountering those crashes too...

So, has the game (as well as other ones) been modified in order to run under Win 10 ?

Thanks a lot !

Julien (France)

I played The Witcher 2 "GOG version" under both Windows 7 and Windows 10 and I didn't experience any frequent crashes. I think you shouldn't have problems, the crashes were super rare in my case and were probably cause by my computer because I'm slightly below minimum requirments.

You can buy Witcher 2 on DVD or on Steam and get a free GOG backup version. Just redeem it here with your serial key:

I don't know if it runs with Windows 10 but I had no problems on Windows 7 64Bit.

Edit: As far as I know they didn`t update the install files for Witcher 2 on GOG (no update flag). So it should run on Windows 10 and it should be the same version as on steam or DVD.

OK thanks ! I was wondering it, because many crashes were reported under Win 10. Anyway, I just saw I could get my money back if it didn't work, so let's roll ! :)
