It worries me that on a day like today with only some new Star Wars game updates that GOG can be brought down and it made me think what is going to happen when Witcher 3 launches? Have GOG announced any kind of pre-load as I see a huge issue ahead already.

Yes, they have said there will be some kind of pre-load a bit closer to release date.

It will be very impressive if they actually manage to stay up without any hiccups.

Although, for a new platform, its usually inevitable to experience downtime.
