I can output it from VLC/MPlayerX, but I'm not sure how I can get 5.1 working in the Witcher 2 on my new iMac?

I've got optical out to an Marantz AV receiver, and then from receiver to surround sound speakers.

Is there something I've missed to get it working?

To update the setting on the iMac itself:

Audio MIDI setup
Source: Digital Out
Format: 96000.0 Hz 2ch-32bit Float

Sound
Output: Digital Out
optical digital-out port
