I just started an new game and Geralt has blue a stripe coat., leather boots,gauntlets, and leather trousers He has a black cloak hood on. Rusty and silver swords. I don't think this 1s the right. What's up here

That's blue stripe armor dlc.. in patch 1.2 all dlcs are given free to you. you even have the mage trousers.. look in the inventory.

Its just DLC mate. Its automatically installed with the latest patches now so every time you start a new game you will have that gear.

Its also a well known "problem" that during the prologue of the game,Geralt will always be auto-equipped with the DLC during new cutscenes in differant parts of the prologue,even if you where wearing something differant in a previous part of the prologue.

Nothing to worry about though.
