Hi all-

I've reached ACT III and the game is no longer saving / recording my saves, even when I select save and it says "Gave Saved" on screen.

This is the GOG version so there is no steamcloud issue going on.

Trouble-shooting:

1. I deleted all but my most recent saves. No change.

2. My hard drive has 2.78 GB remaining .

3. Save game location is documents/witcher 2/gamesaves

4. The last save game is the autosave after we have the option of Sneaking In with Iorveth or exploring the Order of the Flaming Rose camp.

Any advice much appreciated, as I would love to finish the game.

Thanks

Try to run the game as administrator?

Try to search for files, to see if any witcher autosaves or normal saves leaked elsewhere (passive directory change without your knowing)?

Uninstall, keep saves, reinstall as administrator, and try again?

Sorry, i am a bit noobish in windows environment and computer manipulation, so that is what comes in mind. Still, i think the Witcher 2 always do random problems on random people. For me, for instance, when playing normal, i always loose the imported silver sword, which does not happen in other difficulties, or the order knight in Henselt's camp talks without speech and subtitles, the screen turns momentarily black, and no battle ensues, even if i had Siegfried killed in previous game. I do remember some saves getting messed, but for me, that was in the earliest enhanced edition version; since then, at least concerning saving system, all goes well... Good luck.

Try to delete most save files, let only 2-3 save files and 1 autosave files...
