Aerials1: i tried deleting "setup_the_witcher_2-2.bin.chunk0 (51,200kb)", removing the witcher from the gog downloader and re-adding it to force a re-download. it is re-combining the chunks atm, will let you know how it goes.


not getting nice neat files like that, as i said, it still all the chunk files

tripple edit: deleting one of the chunk files and removing the witcher and re-adding in the downloader does indeed fix the problem.
files are now as they should be

Glad you got it, i tried to do that but the gog downloader didnt do anything...just acted like my files were all still there

did you remove the witcher from the gog downloader, exit the downloader, and then re-add the game to the downloader from my account?

Sure did. I'm almost done downloading bin 2-1, I'll letcha know how it goes. I'll try the exe again to see if it says 2-1 is corrupted, if it doesn't, it'll take me 10 mins to download 2-3 and everything will be peachy. If not, I just don't know what the hell I'm going to do.

No exe. Bin files, no exe...problem activating exe same SOS Different Witcher..I figured as much..DRM free..if it can be started in a month

Wow. Just redownloaded Bin 2-1, still says it's corrupted. So I have every file from the manual download from the site, try to run the exe, and somehow my bin 2-1 and 2-3 are corrupted. Impossible. I JUST downloaded it, clean. How can this be?

I DID have a mounting software trying to run it, but I uninstalled it. completely, no traces left.

you restarted after uninstalling right? that's the only other thing i can think of

do you have chunk files still, or are they all combined into neat .bins now?

Everything is in BIN files now, because I deleted all the chunk files, and was left with just the BIN. And then I redownloaded the same exact file from GOG manually, (the bin file 2-1) and it still says bin file 2-1 is corrupt. I have all the bin files, and the exe. is there something I'm missing here? I have all the bin files, run the exe, and it just says that my 2-1 and 2-3 is corrupted.

i'm assuming you checked filesize against the images that were linked earlier and they match up.

guess you are going to have to ask GOG for help and most likely download the corrupt files *again*

I've tried the GoG downloader and I can't find any files that it has downloaded so there is no way I can try and install it with the exe file. I've just deleted it from the downloader and added it again and now I'm downloading the whole thing AGAIN, not happy

Thanks for all the help mate. I'm just going to skip the integrity check, because I JUST downloaded the BIN file and there's no way it could possibly be corrupt. So I'm just going to skip the integrity check, and install the game. I'll letcha know how it goes.

Edit: ok, ran the exe... corrupted files... 2-3 & 2-5.bin
Strange thing is that i decided to run it again... now i had 3 parts corrupted... 2-1, 2-3 & 2-5...

So that leaves 2 choices: either the exe is corrupting them, or the gog downloader corrupted all of them when "combining"

Tried forcing install without integrity check, didn't work, "corrupted data" once again. I'm redownloading the entire thing with GOG downloader. Sone of a fucking bitch, fuck sleep tonight.

Same fucking deal. Spare yourself the hassle, I've gone through every option. Just redownload the game from scratch using the GOG downloader. That's what I'm doing, 45 mins left until I'm POSSIBLY playing this goddamn game.
