I have the game installed in the normal directories, reinstalled again assuming it would fix the problem. Whenever I click the desktop launch icon, or the start menu, the missing shortcut pop up appears saying it is searching for launcher.exe, and i cant locate the launcher.exe from the games folder, please help.

Target should be something like: "C:\Program Files (x86)\GOG.com\The Witcher 2\Launcher.exe"

Right click the shortcut and you should see something like this. Edit it if necessary.

Launcher.exe should be in the main game folder X:\...\The Witcher 2\ along with patcher.exe.
If its not here then it might have been deleted by accident.
To launch the game without launcher the wicher2.exe is in the X:\...\The Witcher 2\bin\ folder.
But you might want to reinstall anyway if you are missing the launcher.exe file.

Doesn't look like it's installed properly. You're missing a TONNE of files/folders. My folder is 15.8GB's. What's yours?

I think your installtion had a problem you should try uninstalling and installing it again. There should be 20+ files in that folder + 4 folders.

total size of "the Witcher 2" is 15.5Gb, reinstalling again as we speak, hoping it will resolve this

Maybe your antivirus messed with the installation and blocked the exe files. If it happens again try disconnecting from the internet (to avoid trouble) then disable your antivirus and launch the installer. Once the installation is done put the av and internet back on.

I figured it out, the 120mb file was not installed with the other bunch, no idea why it didn't say anything but i realized it was in a different directory than the other during installation, now its going through the activation patch which didn't happen before
