hello, i've been experiencing FPS drops in TW2, which i think is weird with my computer specs. my FPS is around 36-55 in flotsam after patch 1.1, but shouldnt this setup do 60 fps stable anywhere in the game after this patch?

setup:
ASUS P6T WS Professional, Socket-1366 (or something similar)
i7 950 OC @ 4GHz
Sapphire HD Radeon 6950 (with 6970 BIOS to open shaders) @ 920/1415
4gb 1600 MHz ram (dominator if it helps)
W Vista 64-bit

i have CCC 11.5, which is the newest for vista users i think, since the new hotfix was for XP and 7 only i believe.

so how much FPS should this computer have at 1080p on ultra (uber off)? oh, and should is use V-sync with this setup?

Have you tried turning off SSAO? It's a notorious resource hog and only really helps small shadows on the edges of objects. It looks nice enough, but most cards can't handle it all that well yet along with other things like high-quality textures.

SSAO didnt make a huge difference, just a couple of FPS :(

do you play other games, do other games run with less fps than it should also?

well, i run Crysis 2 and BC2 @ 75-90 FPS with Maximum graphics, thats good right?

heh, of course.. well that means your pc has no problems at all..

so the only thing i can do is wait for a hotfix of some sort for Vista or just play at 40 fps?

yeah, well you can select shortcut, properties/compatibiliy and dsable visual themes.. it might give 1fps more.. :) at least you run at 40fps and i run at 0fps in villages no matter what..
