As the topic says the framerate in this game seems oddly low. I got i5-4200M, 8 GB RAM, Geforce GT 740M, Win 7 x64 - not the most powerful of setups but it feels like it could manage more than the 20-30 fps it shows (using Arena as a way to test it). The usual suspects i.e. bloom or ultrasampling are disabled, in general the settings seem to do little if anything at all (tried from all low to slightly modified high settings). Updated my graphic drivers too for good measure, nothing changed.

Anyone got an idea perhaps or am I stuck with this framerate?

Care to say at what resolution you are playing... game handles hi res kind of bad.
Are you sure you are running the game with the nvidia gpu and not integrated intel one?
Resolution is 1280x800, windowed. And yes the computer is set to only use nvidia gpu, it's set again to do so for witcher2.exe in specific and I just ran it through "run with the high performance gpu" option just now to make sure.
