Seems to me foliage frequently gets in the way during fights. Can the devs implement some type of fade-out effect, so when the camera swings in front of a tree or something the player's view of the action isn't blocked?

Seriously? No one thinks this isn't an issue?

It never happened to me, tbh. If something does obscure the fight, I quickly rotate the camera.

Come on! Everybody else does this fading out effect, CDPR wanted to be different. Can't build and praise a spanking new engine and have it repeat the old stuff. Tsk.

Of course you are right and I can't even imagine how annoying it must be with mouse & keyboard, it's not exactly fun with the controller, although you have much better camera control with that. You are often enough forced to play blindly, because of the forced camera angle and the foes outside of your field of view (whenever there's more than one). But when they're even IN your field of view and still only locateable by the sound of your sword slash, that's a defninite flaw. It's no wonder a lot of people are not happy with the camera and pray for the possibility to mod it.
It happened all the time in Flotsam, and if you get near an object, like a tree, the camera zooms in which makes it worse.

I was using mouse and keyboard, but how would a game pad improve this?
Actually this never bothered me at all in any of my playthrough (I'm counting at least 4 playthroughs)
scampywiak your not alone. Yes i was really surprised to not see those vision obscuring objects fade away, can cause death quite easily on lower levels if someones behind you.

Completely agree especially on insane those things need to be faded out.

For me, camera handling is a lot easier, I don't know about others. When I use the mouse, I usually use it to move with it, not fight, so I can't even imagine how you attack/block at the same time than moving the camera. But I didn't even try KBM, because I can't use WASD, I'd have to SEE what my fingers do and miss the action on screen...
