Hi all,
I just purchased and installed The Witcher 2, and I can't start the game due to the famous 0xc000007b error.
I tried everything. I installed and reinstalled every single version of Visual C++ from 2005 to 2019, in any imaginable order. I even contacted the developers (CDProjekt Red) for help, and after making me reinstall several versions of VC++, they ended up saying that I should try reinstalling Windows as a last resort.
I also tried many solutions found on the internet, meaning deleting .dll files (mfc100u.dll and others) and reinstalling either VC++ or DirectX, all in vain.
Just hoping to find someone who knows a miraculous better solution.
I have Windows 10, 64 bits, and my system is up to date.
Thank you very much in advance if anyone can help.
