They really are, in fact, I ended up caring about them more than any other character. The way they sort of ~unveiled different sides of Iorveth's character is amazinggggg and Saskia is one of the few strong female characters I've seen done right. I hope we get to see more of them in DLCs/expansions/TW3. I'll be sad if we don't.

Yep, same. I don't replay games, ever, I usually lose interest after the credits roll and I just move onto other things. But not this time, I cannot see myself even considering playing another game for at least another month. Aaaaaaa.

We found another odd difference between the two language versions.


When you finally manage to rescue Triss, she starts revealing some facts about the Lodge. In the English version, she mentions there are nine sorceresses who are members of the Lodge. In the Polish version, she clearly states there are twelve members. So what happened to the three extra sorceresses during the work on the English translation?

Consulting the wiki, it confirms that the Lodge has (had) 12 members. I think the problem is that at this point of the game, not all of them are alive. Sabrina Glevissig has been burned at the stake, Assire var Anahid was killed by Shilard, and Yennefer is, as we know, missing or considered dead - or at the very least, not a member of the Lodge any more, as Síle confirms that she's alive but seemingly working for Nilfgaard. This would make the current head count (when you meet Triss), 9 members. I'll have to go back and look at the conversation again, but the way it was written gave me the impression that Triss was speaking of the Lodge in a past tense, meaning she would have logically counted all members, but since the numbers do add up if we count them like this... maybe it's the Polish version that's at fault?

Hm, I don't understand the Polish dialogue, from the way she talked about it, I would tend to assume that she's talking about the Lodge in the past instead of the number at present. If you're talking about the missing 3 - Sabrina, Assire, Yennefer - how about Ciri? There doesn't seem to be any news about her (hmmm, compared to Yennefer, Ciri seems to be barely mentioned in TW2 at all), so I would say at present there are 8.

I think instead of saying that which VO is wrong per se, I would say the English writers interpreted the speech differently and rephrased according to what they think is more suitable, as in the case of Saskia's ending speech.

I agree, there wasn't any romance, there was sex without a hint of pretense. That's why I liked it. This ain't a BIoware game.
