I've a problem with the witcher 2 and the ee patch. Ive bought the witcher 2 in a local store. Since I have an unstable networtk I downloaded the patch manually. so my question is, how do i have to install this patch. I installed it next to the witcher, but it says its missing .dll files, so it couldnt run. Please guys help me.

What .dll files does it say you are missing? Curious if you are missing game specific dll's, or perhaps .Net libraries.

it says: 'missing fmodex.dll'. This file can be found in the bin map of the witcher 2 (not ee) If I copy these files to the ee, the game can start, but crash when i talk to triss after new game.

Does that mean you have two installations of The witcher 2? The patch might be getting confused between the two installations. Make sure you only have 1, then install the EE patch.

no i mean i have one retail version of the game, the non-enchanced edition. Whenever i try to launch the game, i have to register and install the patch. i have downloaded the patch manually from this site: http://en.thewitcher.com/ee_manual/ when i install it, and i run it, it gives problems.

It does sound like you have a corrupted patch file - but figuring out which one would be problematic.

Maybe you should take the good folks at this site up on their offer and get the latest version of the game digitally here - http://www.gog.com/en/witcher2/backup/

Then uninstall your retail version, and install new.

Edit to Add - After installing the GOG EE edition, just grab the latest patch here - http://thewitcher.com/patch3-1 and install it.
