I loved the first witcher, the top down 3d iso metric, stacking potions, and such.. I found also found the difficulty levels pretty good,, they scaled well as you increased.. and the mouse clicks, with a couple of signs was my kinda game play.

This one? Easy, is a cake walk, there is zero challenge,, just click and things die.. go to normal, i find myself replaying battles 20+ times.. and i just started the game, so it is not like i could of screwed up my build as i have only been able to pick 2 skills outside of the basics.. Maybe the roll should of been one, I don't know.. But man,.. (the queen fights, specters, heck even the stupid elf ambush near the waterfall... have made this game zero fun what so ever.

try a set of buffs, signs,, die,, try a new set,, die... try combos 20 times,, die.. switch to easy,, and it doesn't matter what i do i win with only loosing barely 1/8 health, even with out buffs.. Is there no middle ground here? This is not my typical type of game anyway, i am not a first person shooter type of player,, so this duck, attack, block, crap is kinda of a pain.. But man,, to go from do nothing but stand there and take almost no damage from an attack.. To if you don't dodge the first attack you loose 1/3 your health bar is a bit ridiculous of a jump for difficultly scaling if you ask me.

Are there any mods that make this some what better? because as is.. the game play is not much fun at all.. Not sure if the story will make up for playing on easy.. cause playing on normal and having to reload 20+ times is for the birds...
You should consider using bombs (grapeshot and dancing star in particular) and traps (you can pick up a ton of snares in the forest, and multiple snares can be stacked to instantly kill any enemy you lure onto them). The difficulty jump probably seems intense if you're relying solely on swordplay and signs, but you really do benefit from traps and bombs on higher difficulties.
