in the area with the deep quarry with harpies geralt always says my medalion is vibrating, and nothing major happens? is this a glitch?

Not a bug. It is related to a sidequest on Iorveth's path. You will bump into the sidequest at a certain point when doing the main quest.

Yeah, that one got me too... I was trying to "Aard" the rocks off the ledges, thinking they would wipe-out the Harpies approaching from below... :D
