It's annoying. Simply let us walk or run freely through the doors with no delay
for some doors you can pass through without delay, for other doors you cannot. this is due to how the engine streams locations.
I agree with this. It seems the doors only have the load zone property (whatever you'd call it) when they're in a neutral animation, i.e. closed. It's just a little thing but it's just tedious and cumbersome how you have to wait for everyone to slam the door in your face before you can go through it. It breaks the suspension of disbelief.
This is one of the most annoying things about the engine for me. That and pretty much any other stock animation (like jumping up and down to and from ledges). Obviously not a game-breaker, but something to tuck away for future engine enhancements.

You have to wait until the little hand shows up so you can grab the latch...oops that's another game....yea its annoying you run up to the door smash your nose and it doesn't open because your darn foot is against it!! Just turn around and presto the open icon appears!! Apparetly Geralt isn't this clumsy in bed!!
I would like to "prance" through the doors, with an option for pirouettes. It is so annoying that this option was not included.
This doesn't really bother me, but I understand why some people balk at how it's handled in TW2.

Agree with this. Animations can maybe be sped up a bit.

Too bad he can't even open or go through a damn door when he is in fighting mode.

But can I PRANCE? Damn it man, I've got to show my natural grace and charm!
It works almost seamlessly for me (Phenom II quad core 3.4Ghz, 4Gb RAM, HD 5850) it seems there's always some complaints in most games about transitioning through doors, I'd rather have this barely noticeable delay than loading screens - and really it's one or the other so take your pick, IMO this is the lesser of two evils.

I think it has to do with the fact that you can *see* the new zone through the door, and it looks like something you should be able to more organically transition. If it were a more primitive traditional "dark doorway and a load screen", people probably wouldn't raise an eyebrow.

Of course, then they would be looking at a load screen. I'll take the syrupy doorways.
