Illunder: Could also try temporarily lowering the internet security settings in IE, it worked for me but that may have been random luck rather than anything I did.
This actually works! (Or it was a really funny coincidence...)

meh not for me, still getting "connection to the server cannot be established" when I try to register with CDProject via the launcher

Hi everyone! here is a fellow member from Argentina! I´ve already downloaded the game via the GOG system and everything went just fine. But I´m having some problems when I want to register my digital purchase...
The thing is that I can´t even create a new account on thewitcher.com! when I type my username and mail, etc. and press the "create account", a message pops-up saying "accept" (well, everything in spanish you know :P) but when I press that buton nothing happens. I just can´t create any new account or recover my password from my previous one because It won´t send me any e-mail to restoring that pass.
I must say that the game works great on my system. That´s a good thing! but I really want to register my copy of The Witcher 2 before starting to play. Anyone knows what could be the problem? maybe the servers are down or something...
I´m really sorry for my english guys! I´m just learning it at the time being! thanks in advance! :)

how do you play without first activating your GoG downloaded game?

it makes me register it before i can play... and at the moment the servers are pretty much down at the moment so can't play.. unless theres a bypass?

I can play it. That´s ok I guess since it´s DRM free, so the game plays fine even if you don´t use the cd key they sent you, that is for the DLC and future add-ons and content. The game installed fine, the same with the patch wich was installed automatically. But when I choose the register game option in the launcher, so I can download the DLC, I just can´t do it. I can´t create a new account or use my old one (I can´t even recover my password, the email wont be send to me).

Mine works without activation... didn't set up an account or register, works just fine.

Well, at least I'm not the only one having this problem. I'm from Spain, so I also used spanish language, and had the same problem as you. I think that I'm going to start playing like is and try to register in a few days. Am I missing much in the dlc?

maybe we can get a little bit lucky and might be able to register later! anyway... I hope that we are not missing much...

I have been able to register switching the language to english!!
maybe it's a mistake caused by the language options if you don't choose english...
So register in english, and the change again to Spanish.

I did just that! it worked! thanks mefet! you rock man!! looks like a bug eh? well for anyone experiencing this problem... you´ve got the solution courtesy of our spanish friend :). Where can i download the dlc? at the launcher the download content option is in grey so i can´t select it :(

Ok, I'll tell you what I did as it seems that I'm downloading troll trouble.
Switch to english again. See if this unlocks the option "descarga de contenido", as switching the language takes a while to change the instruction language.
Select troll trouble.
Ignore the option "canjeo de codigo de reserva" or exchange coupon" or something like that in english, and push download
Wait a minute or so and close the window, it won't start downloading until you return the the core menu.
In the lo part it should say downloading troll trouble. Wait until it ends.
Enter again in "descarga de contenido"
select troll trouble and press install.
That's all!! At least it seems to work for me! hpe it helps you, too.
And the rest of the users please forgive my engish and that I use spanish in some options, as I don't know the exact translation and LucianoMillo is seeing it in spanish as me in his computer.
