Well...I slept and arranged my schedule to be able to play tonight and first rattle out of the bag I'm walking around with half my body underground.

sigh

I should have known.

I'm sure it is a great game as the reviewers have said but I will wait for a couple patches I think.

Everybody get down on the floor :D

Game is quite fresh, CDProjekt is truly reactive to these issues, won't be long before a new patch comes out.

In the meantime, keep your AMD or nVidia drivers up to date (or make a clean install with DriverSweeper).

Seems like AMD cards have graphical bugs, watch the threads about it ^^

I have the exact same problem!

I was beginning to think I was the only one.

To recap my problem:

After a few minuets of game-play (2-5 min) the ground rises up to about waste level. I can move freely, but all characters and game objects appear to be half-burred.

When I pan the camera below the ground, everything apears suspended in nothing.

If I save the game and re-load everything is normal for a few minuets then the bug re-appears.

If I alt-tab to the desktop the bug goes away, but only for a matter of seconds.

I have a steam copy of the game. I've re-downloaded it three times.

I've adjusted every setting, including using windowed mode, to no avail.

I've re-installed steam.

I've re-installed my ATI driver (11.6)

I've re-installed windows.

My system specs in brief:

Windows 7 64
Asus P6T Deluxe
Core i7 920
6Gb RAM
ATI 6870 HD

I've not overclocked.

Video of the bug
Did you patch the game to version 1.2 (accumulative 1.1 and 1.2)?
Bugs are usual for every peace of software - not just this game. There isn't perfection in this world, live with it.

You're being very helpful.
If you'd read the thread, you'd see that the poster continued an older thread, he didn't choose the title. Which, my reaction to it was similar to yours, but at least I looked at the dates of the posts...

Sorry, I just going to shoot my self and this kind of blasphemy will never happen again.
I was very happy to find this thread. Until now I thought it was a unique issue; therefore a problem with my machine. I've been emailing the developers and troubleshooting since I purchased the game.

Steam automatically updates the game for me.
