brink looks like an ugly cartoon.

well they call it "exaggerated reality" but the long faces are actually pretty funny

personally i found brink to be an outright lie of a game. it basically just took movement from mirrors edge, threw in some FPS combat and then half-assed their way through making the AI. It just felt completely unfinished and the gameplay in it was mediocre at best. the only thing i found fun was being able to do the parkore while shooting. But the lack of a true single player campaign was just stupid. if they wanted to blur the lines between multiplayer and single player campaign, why not actually make a campaign out of the game. its just missions that repeat similar goals with a seriously weak story behind it.

To hell with Brink, COD or any of that lot.
Me, I'm looking forward to Duke Nukem Forever.

All new games have hype and promises, but nothing like Brink.

Paul Wedgewood, Splash Damage's CEO, said about the single player:

"Brink’s single-player will be comparible in size – and quality, from what we saw of it today – to the biggest names in the action business"

and

"It's massive....This is a game that has been built from the outset as a heavily narrative-driven story by full-time writers".

All lies, it was just MP with bots.

Agreed, but I still say that with a group of people you know and a knowledge of the game, it is surprisingly fun. Nowhere near all that was promised, but I was not overhyped about it anyway.
It still remain a good game to me that could have been much more.
Nowhere near all the promises, and not sure I'll still play in a month, but for now I'm at the point where I know enough people and the game well enough to enjoy yet not be bored of it.
I feel it might come rather quick tho. lol
But yeah, it's all about online and playing with good and/or fun people you know to enjoy it.

What brink should do now is to add free dlcs and maps to recover their lost in followers. Also improve bots' tactics, intelligence, whatever.

I agree with this post, however I wasn't satisfied with the amount of content they delivered for the price they were asking.

not even close. it is a class base first person shooter. If you are not a FPS fan dont buy it. the last news from ssplashdamage is 10 days ago. I check their blog, their webpages and everything. I think bethesda abandoned BRINK since they have elder scroll and rage comming out.
