Hi, I downloaded the latest TW2 version from gog and I'm having the strangest problem. It seems like the close up textures are very blurry. Like, everything is fine but when Geralt talks to someone, the focus is on that person but Geralt's armor/skin is blurry.

My specs:
i5 750
8gb RAM
windows 7 x64
Nvidia gts 450 running the 280.26 drivers.
Try disabling depth of field in the options (in the launcher), that should fix it for ya.
Thanks for the reply. I should have posted that I have everything disabled except for ssao.
I'm getting the same problem here, no DOF Enabled.
The chaps in this thread apparently found several solutions:
http://www.gog.com/en/forum/the_witcher_2/blurry_textures_no_matter_what_graphics_settings

Basically, you can either:
1) Run the game launcher as an administrator.
2) Change texture downscaling to "None".
3) If you are using ATI card, go to Catalyst Control Panel and change "Mipmap Detail Level" slider to "Quality" setting.
4) Check "User.ini" & "Rendering.ini" in your documents folder and make sure "MaxTextureSize" isn't set to 0. Change it to 1024 if it is.
5) Again in "User.ini", check that "AllowSharpen=1".

Good luck, I hope this helps.

Number 5 actually helped a little! Thanks.
@4 I didn't find a maxtexturesize option in rendering.ini. Maybe I should create it.

It's actually in "User.ini" as well, under [Rendering] section. Two more values to check there, they should be set like this:
"AtlasTextureDownscale=0"
"DetailTextureDownscale=0"

One more thing you could try is go to nvidia control panel, create a profile for your Witcher 2 game and experiment with those texture filtering options.

Other than that I'm out of ideas... full reinstall perhaps, although I doubt that would help.
