Hello everybody.

I used the gog .exe end paul.dll from gog version of the game on my premium DVD version.

Results:

Performances are better and the game takes only 10 seconds to load instead of 60 seconds with the original executable from my dvd!

Will it be corrected in the next patch?

It's not normal that people who have buy this game must use a "crack" to have good performances.

I think that this a securom issue.

This is SecuROM. It was the same with Gothic III.

I have a Steam, DVD and GoG copy of the game and the GoG version does indeed load faster.
To be honest I considered not buying the game simply because of the utilisation of SecuROM. I can understand why CDProjeckt would want to protect the game, but as any gamer will know SecuROM has no effect on piracy rates so why use it?

Better to go the Steam route. Just have a GOG client (ala Steam) that handles downloading, installation and validation for all GOG games including new releases. The Steam version can stand without it, of course, but I'd much prefer this than SecuROM.

Thankfully a friend purchased it for me so I gave none of my money to the use of SecuROM.

Yes, one of the dev's stated on another forum that this will be improved / fixed. There should be 3 patchs (that i know of) all due out this year, it wasnt stated which one it will be in.
