ladylozza: I suspect I might be necro-ing and old thread but apart from finding out in game is there any way to tell if you have the censored version?
That part about changing your location leads me to assume that you have the GOG version, but Geo-IP was reinstated sometime around Christmas thanks to a court case, so it's very possible that changing your location had no effect.
Either way, you can tell if you have the censored version of the game or not by going to
Program Files/GOG.com/The Witcher 2/CookedPC and checking to see if you have the
elf_flotsam.dzip and
succubuss.dzip files in there. If not, it's censored. Luckily, those files are easily replaced and putting the two files in will uncensor the game.
elf_flotsam.dzip succubuss.dzip Note: If those files are put back in before the end of Act 1, then it works in your current game just as though you had originally downloaded the uncensored version. Otherwise one of the two censored scenes has to wait until another playthrough.
