So this is my second playthrough. Beat it on normal, now I'm trying hard. I'm level 6 in Flotsam right now and when I go to my character screen all the trees except for training are locked (as they should be), but I can't actually purchase any talent points. It's just not available. Clicking on them/pressing enter isn't even one of the options shown in the bottom right of the screen.... Anyone else?

Tried a different time or place?
Maybe you're not supposed to level up right now - for whatever reason (most likely something about a plot-quest, that is in action).

Are you sure you're going into the Medidation -> Character screen, instead of just the Character screen? You can only spend points while meditating (at least for me, playing Hard).

You can start levelling up the other trees after level 7 or 8. I don't remember, but at that point you can have each of the skills in the Training tree enabled, IIRC.

This was it. On normal all you have to do is press C at any point in the game. However on hard you actually have to be in meditate mode. Odd... guess so you can't get a new talent while fighting? Doesn't make sense to me to have this particular aspect of the game different between difficulties... But thanks!
