I hope they sell 20 million copies so they don't even feel tempted or in need to be "associated" with EA and the likes. Is there any initial sales figures?

I'd love so much if this PC only game sells more than DA2, not only because some BioDrones doubt it, but to show that PC market is not dead, as we all know, and also that you don't have to go "the way of the audience" like BW did with the Dragon Age IP when that audience = "justin bieber" audience who will consume any piece of sh*t, rushed, unfinished and bugged product without even complaining!

I don't enjoy the DA franchise, but even I can tell that this comment is unnecessarily inflammatory just for the sake of being so. Don't undermine your point with offensive generalizations.
20 million is a bit of a stretch. Even popular console games like gears of war 2 only sell 5-6 million world wide, and that's a 360 title. For your reference best selling game of all time for PC is The sim, only 16m shipped.
Half life 2 6.5 million. Modern warfare 2 (all platforms) sold for about 12-13 million units.

For the witcher 2 to get more than 5 million would be a stretch, though I hope that they would so that we could get better sequels.

I would wager it would go around 2m+ give or take.
When all is said and done it'll probably be around 2 million sales. More depending on whether it comes to console.

I'm a HUGE Dragon Age fan.. well DA:Origins at least... over 20 characters, 20 full runs, about 100 hrs each! It's as an awesome game as TW2, on its own merits. It is a shame what they did with the sequel and "going the way of the audience" was what the Lead Director used to describe why they were changing so much from the first title.

That's how I see that audience, before release and mostly, after release of the sequel. It's still a good game, I love it for what it is, cool action game filled with button=awesome!

If Geralt's enemies exploded when hit by a sword or TW2 had been rushed and recycled the same area over and over and over, (and over...), have no doubt I would be trashing it too!
