Saw it on Twitter actually. I'm using GOG myself. 40MB, that makes the Steam patch worse than ever!
I think the worst thing about Steam is that when the patch is downloading, you can't play the affected game. That, combined with the huge download, is my main peeve about Steam's update system.

I bought it at Gamestop for 39.99 today. Came with half of the stuff in the Collector's Edition.

But CDPR know about the "problem" with how Steam patches. They should have had the foresight to create a workaround.

Even then (assuming Valve does let CDPR in on their patch system) it is also debatable if a suitable workaround is readily available. One factor that was raised is how it's due to the contiguous 9GB file that is in use by the game (not the patch but the actual game file, some say its to requirement of load screens). Assuming the 9GB file is the best way they came up with of to ensure a great, seamless gaming experience for all players, it seems unfair to me to expect CDPR to restructure their engine or core files just to cater to one distributor's flawed delivery system.

About steam. They have great selection of games and often you could buy a game almost for nothing. I almost bought red faction.. well the third one. 'cos it was priced at little over 2 euros. But instead I bought this witcher from here. And now i have to be careful with my money.. Every € counts. Anyway.. I like it better when I don't have to use some additional application to play the game.
So whats my point? Nothing. Just like to write something now and then. =)
