Tried running it on 5760x1080 first it wouldnt run. Had to turn of full screen to be able to run it on that resolution. Unfortunately ingame it's much like as its for 16:10 monitors. black boxes on the parts outside the normal 16:9 area. I hope the patch that's supposed to be fixing aspect ratios will be fully supporting everything including multi-monitor setups.

I hope there will be an Update. i hate this black borders on my 1280x1024 5:4 Monitor. With these I can´t enjoy the great Graphics of this Game. Please release a Patch or Hotfix for that very soon.

So how is the 16:10 support now that the game is out? I wanna play this in 1920x1200 without bars!

Can't believe how much this topic exploded. Personally don't see a problem. I've got a 16:10 specifically because, for the price, it was the highest resoultion LCD I could get at the time.

Two things:
1) Anyone angry about this must go nuclear trying to watch 16:9 and 4:3 videos (non-anthropomorphic) on their 16:10 monitor. Little horizontal blank bars have nothing on the inches of vertical blank columns from 4:3 videos.
2) I realize this isn't a solution and, fortunately this has been patched already, but personally, I usually game windowed whenever possible so my issue then becomes largest possible game resolution before I may as well just full screen it.

I'll be waiting for an update on this too. I love cd projekt dearly but please update the resolution for this. I cannot tell you how absolutely infuriating it is for me to have those black bars at the top and bottom of my screen.

I'm fine with waiting for it, I'd rather play the game with true full screen on 1920x1200 then having the bars.

I know it seems minor, but i tried playing it and its just making me nuts. Just doesn't feel right to me.

Still, patch is in the works for this.

I know, I can wait. I just notice it and it bothers me. I know quite a few people that actually like the effect, I do not.

I don't mind waiting for the patch for it.

Bah. This was something that actually had me a bit worried at first - but I've got the game running on a 1680x1050 monitor and I can honestly say I don't even notice the letterboxing. The black bars are tiny, and the game is immersive - a complete non-issue for me...

Any update for CD Projekt for timeline to fix this?

Same here. I actually played The Witcher 1 the same way, simply because the character faces had this weird blocky effect when I played at my native res.

I wasn't pleased when I heard about this (for a PC exclusive title, no less).

And I'm still not pleased. The game is fun, but I want this fixed.
