I've been having this seriously irritating problem the whole time I've been playing this game and it's about to make me stop playing permanently. Every since I got my first steel sword, and then eventually my silver sword, I keep seeing "acquired steel sword" and "acquired silver sword" EVERY SINGLE FREAKING TIME I leave a building. At first, I thought it was a mild nuisance, just ignore it. But then I realized that until that message pops up, I HAVE NO SWORDS. No problem again, just wait til the message appears. Except that for whatever the heck reason this time when I went to the brothel for the "Blue Eyes" quest in chapter 3, when the girl's brother eventually attacked I was like what the crap, I have a torch and no swords. So I got slaughtered. I went back several saved games: same thing, no swords.

This is insanely annoying. Please note:

THEY ARE NOT IN MY INVENTORY

They are also not in my chest of stored items.

Is there a cheat I can use to get them back? Or is there any place that sells both? They weren't fancy. I'm pretty sure I could find a steel sword but where would I buy a silver one?

I found a saved game editor. Thank crap for that. I was able to give myself my swords back. I went back about 2 hours worth of save games and eventually found a save that had them, but no thanks, don't feel like replaying that.
