I know remakes are now what all the cool big boy publishers are doing, but I am bit worried and I want to be sure that won't be the case. Activision and Blizzard often when they make remakes they practically delete the previous version. Ubisoft is notorious for removing games in order to force you to buy the remakes or simply because they can (Assassin's Creed single player DLCs are making costs on your server and not your pointless Uplay, are you kidding me). Granted, not everyone is like that, Microsoft with Age of Empires, EA with Mass Effect and T2 with Mafia are so far very fair, but this can all change. I am just curious what is the guarantee CDPR won't go Ubisoft path, because that would only mark the start of a very bad trend.
Personally, I would have preferred a Remaster.
Very excited to hear about the remake of The Witcher. But please, please, please keep the original music of the first Witcher game. It is the most hauntingly exquisite music. I'm not the only one who thinks so. Remember many comments on forums at the time on how beautiful The Witcher music was. It really set the tone for the game.
