What FPS are you getting in your computer?

Got an E5200 CPU,4 GB ram and Ati 6850 (Catalyst 11.5b) and getting below 30 fps in the swamp (resolution 1680 x 1050).
When I put everything on minimum a get about 45 fps :/

I use an old Acer 5536 notebook, and I get a little less than 30 in the outskirts, usually.

Can someone send me a save game in the swamps? I heard it's the heaviest area, so it would be cool to make sure I can play in it before I continue.
Phenom BE 3ghz
ATi radeon 4870 1gb
8GB
resolution and everything elso to max

FPS 60-65
AMD II 630 (4x 2.6ghz)
4gb Ram
Radeon HD 4670 1gb

Average fps: 7-9 (all settings LOW or OFF) @ 1024x768

...unplayable

Intel 965 integrated graphics (3 years old), with core 2 duo and 3gb ram.

Minimum settings + 3d Analyze to disable shaders.

FPS ranges from 35 (caves, crypts, and sometimes sewers) to 5 (trade quarter, much worse than swamp for some reason). Most areas is around 12 fps.

I consider it playable.

(btw, are you guys just making these numbers up, or what? 3d analyze includes an fps counter, but the witcher doesn't. I call BS on all y'all.)

I am using Fraps to determine the FPS. Don't mind the solved tag, I just miscklicked and can't find a way to remove it :/
I also used Fraps
It seems the game is CPU DEPENDENT! There's an article about it: http://www.pcgameshardware.com/aid,658399/PCGH-Tuning-The-Witcher-Enhanced-Edition/Practice/

Tried overclocking my CPU and it did small wonders, got me quite a few FPS. But the larger areas in Chapter 3 are still usually 20 FPS.
fraps
ah, of course. you got me.

I, too, have heard that it's largely CPU dependent. I've also heard that it doesn't take advantage of multi-core processors properly.

Stevezen, in what part of the game are you getting that poor performance? If you want to go through the hassle, you can try using 3d analyze to lower graphics further and make the game playable. Measured at exactly the same save point, it increased my fps by 260%.

I'm kind of amazed that system can't handle it, though. We're talking Witcher 1, right? Not 2?

Yeah its The Witcher Enhanced Edition which is 1.

I'm getting 7-9 fps in the main game although in cut scenes its worse and more like 2-3, I did make a thread about this but nothing could fix it so I kind of abandoned the game in disgust as I can't play a game with fps that low.

Thanks for the tip, I'll give it a try.
I get just about 60 fps everywhere, though a bit laggy in the trade quarter. I have an AMD quadcore 9850, dual nvidia gtx 460s, and 4 gigs of ram running on Windows 7 Utlimate 64 bit. Granted, when playing The Witcher, I disable one of my 460s, because SLI causes the game to show all light sources through all surfaces.
