hi i had the witcher enhanced edition through steam for while now but recently found out you can redeem steam keys for witcher 1 and 2 on here and so i did and then i finally got around to instaling the witcher 1 gog version but still had steam version installed now that may have been my first mistake idk for sure but after uninstalling steam version tried firing up the gog version and it ownt launch at all and yes i can run both witcher games the steam version of both ran good on my computer so id just like to now what i have to do to get my gog version of the witcher to work properly also before uninstalling steam version i ran the gog version once and it worked fine but after uninstalling steam version gog versiion wont start

Uninstall both versions, after that install only gog version...

Go into your Witcher 1 install folder [gog version] and try launching the game from the exe there. It is called 'launcher.exe'.

If that works just make a copy of 'launcher.exe' on you desktop and rename it 'The Witcher'.

Most possible that unistalling the game from steam, deleted some common registry keys. So, best way to play now is to install again from GOG's setup files.
