I thought it may be useful to share this.

I wasn't able to play The Witcher on my Win 8.1 laptop normally, and like many I had to launch the game with the "-dontforceminreqs" switch and modify the game to get max textures.

However, I upgraded to Win 10 in the meantime, and was much pleased when I tried to launch the game without dontforceminreqs and it worked. I removed the max textures mod too.

Does your Laptop have a dedicated graphics card?

Yes, Nvidia GTX 880M. I run The Witcher on it of course, which it does by default anyway. My Intel HD Graphics 4600 would be a bit too weak, likely...
