Hi, I've currently got gog Version 1.5 of the Witcher Enhanced Edition : Directors Cut and note that there is a newer version now, 2.0
However there doesn't appear to be a patch on GOG, only the full version 2.0 download option

Is updating simply a case of installing version 2.0 over my existing version and will my save games be under threat ?
I've tried to google and search this forum for the answer to this question, but no one else seems to have asked it yet.

It's just a change to the installer. There has been no change in the game itself. If your game is installed and working, and you have your setup files saved somewhere, you do not need to download again.

Download only if you need to reinstall and you didn't keep your previous set of setup files.
